Mr. Olatunde Akande is a distinguished Development Finance professional with over two decades of expertise in Development Finance, Agribusiness & SME Development, driving economic transformation across Sub-Saharan Africa.
As ED, Technical at NIRSAL, he spearheaded pioneering initiatives that de-risked agricultural financing, enhancing smallholder farmers’ access to capital, strengthening agricultural value chains. Previously, as Director of Portfolio Management at the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund, Nairobi, Kenya, he managed a USD 270 million investment portfolio.
He holds a BSc (Honors) in Zoology from the University of Ibadan, an MBA (Top Student in Finance) from Middlesex University Business School, England and an MPhil in Development Finance (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch Business School, Cape Town. A Harvard Business School GMP alumnus, he has also completed executive programs at Stanford GSB and Wharton.
